Version 6.1.7601.26909

When I started working on this release, I believed that this would be the last build of Windows 7. Well, the support period (including paid support) for both the 7 itself and all related products, such as Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 Embedded, has ended in January 2024, so that’s it, the finale is finita la comedy! But it was not there. While I was fiddling with the assembly, the February update was released quietly, without any fanfare. And no one knows how many more there will be. So, it’s too early for fans of the seven to despair!

This assembly is the successor to the Windows 7 SP1 RUS-ENG x86-x64 -8in1- KMS^UnsupportEd v2 (AIO) assembly. This assembly did not receive any new revolutionary solutions compared to its predecessor. So, routine update as of early February 2024. More detailed information about the changes I made to the system can be found below.

Computer for system:

• 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor with a clock speed of 1 GHz
• 1 GB RAM
• Supports DirectX 9 interface with WDDM driver, at least 128 MB of video memory, Pixel Shader 2.0 function and 32 bit/pixel color
• 40 GB hard drive with 16 GB free disk space
• DVD drive
• Possibility of audio output
• Access to the Internet

– Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64 English
– Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x86 English
– Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x86 English
– Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 English
– Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 English

The functionality of the assembly has been thoroughly checked whenever possible. Upon completion of the installation, you receive a fully registered and activated Windows 7 operating system in the edition of your choice.

Some assembly features– The build is based on Windows 7 distributions posted on MSDN on May 12, 2011.
– The original Windows 7 installer has been replaced with a hybrid installer made from installers for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
– The assembly integrates critical updates available as of January 9, 2024, including Internet Explorer 11 and .NET Framework 4.8.
– The BypassESU utility version 12 is integrated into the assembly, which removes the block from installing ESU updates. A shortcut to manage this utility is available in the Start menu.
– The assembly integrates the Win7 WU ESU Patcher utility, which allows you to receive ESU updates through Windows Update, technically intended for Windows Embedded 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, but applicable to regular Windows 7. The utility can be controlled from the BypassESU interface.
– The BypassESU utility interface has been modified to replace the controls for the out-of-date WU ESU Patcher module with controls for the Win7 WU ESU Patcher module.
– The WUFUC utility version 1.0.1.201 is integrated into the assembly, which removes the block from installing OS updates on computers with AMD Ryzen, Intel Kaby Lake and higher processors. Shortcuts to control this utility are available in the Start menu.
– The Vistalizator utility version 2.75 is integrated into the assembly, which allows you to switch the system interface language in the Windows 7 Professional edition. A shortcut to manage this utility is available in the Start menu.
– The UltraUXThemePatcher utility version 4.4.1 is integrated into the assembly, adding the ability to install third-party Windows themes.
– The Microsoft Edge browser version 109.0.1518.78 is integrated into the assembly.
– A browser from Yandex is integrated into the assembly.
– DirectX 9.0c package is integrated into the assembly.
– Microsoft Visual C++ 2005-2022 Redistributable packages of current versions are integrated into the assembly.
– A number of Microsoft services responsible for collecting telemetry data are disabled in the build.
– The fix for countering the Meltdown and Specter viruses (KB4056892), which seriously slows down the system on many computers, is disabled in the assembly.
– In the build, all kinds of notifications about the end of support for Windows 7 and offers to upgrade to Windows 10 and higher are disabled.
– In the build, the call to the first launch window of Internet Explorer 11 and the Smart Screen service are disabled.
– In the assembly, the call to the Edge first launch window and the notification about the end of support for Windows 7 by this browser are disabled.
– A tweak has been applied to the assembly that adds the “Device Manager” item to the “Computer” context menu.
– A tweak has been applied to the assembly that adds the “Copy to folder…” and “Move to folder…” items to the context menu of files and folders.
– A tweak has been applied to the assembly that adds the day of the week to the system date, which is also displayed on the Taskbar.
– A tweak has been applied to the assembly, which enables the numeric keypad at the first launch (analogous to pressing the NumLock key).
– The assembly has been modified so that for the English version of the system installed in EFI/UEFI mode, the boot menu and the “Start Windows” text are now displayed in English. Unfortunately, when updating the system, the language may again become English.
– Special updates necessary to support the installation and further use of the system on NVMe are integrated into the system installer, the installed OS and the system recovery service.
– A universal driver for USB 3.x is integrated into the system installer, the installed OS and the system recovery service.
– Several updates have been integrated into the system recovery service, both launched from the installation media and built into the system itself, which eliminates a number of problems in the operation of the recovery mechanism.
– The Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (MSDaRT) version 7.0 module is integrated into the system recovery service, both launched from the installation media and built into the system itself, which significantly expands the capabilities for resuscitating the system.
– The system recovery service, both launched from the installation media and built into the system itself, integrates the SmartFix module version 2.4.10 to automatically solve the most common problems and cure the OS from malware that antiviruses cannot handle.
– At the very early stage of installation, there is a pre-boot menu in which you can select the bitness of the primary shell, that is, which installer will be used, 32-bit or 64-bit. Thanks to this, there is no need to worry that the 64-bit version of the OS may not fit on RAID, and that its users may find themselves without system recovery service.
– The necessary changes have been made to the installer so that installation under EFI/UEFI is possible not only from DVD, but also from USB.
– The restriction that made it impossible to enter a license key at the installation stage has been removed from all editions.
– If during installation of the system you entered a valid license key in the appropriate field, then the system will be activated using this key on completely legal grounds. If the field is left empty, then alternative activation methods will be used.
– If during installation of the system you enter certain dummy keys, the system will be installed without any activation. This may be necessary if you don’t currently have a valid license key on hand, but you will have one soon.
– If during installation of the system you do not enter the key at all, the system will be activated automatically using the AAct activator version 4.3.1 Portable from Ratiborus with automatic reactivation set to every 10 days. In this case, in addition, a shortcut to the activator executable file under the name “KMS-activation” will be added to the “Start” menu. With this activator you can activate not only Windows, but also Office 2010-2021 VL.
– If you chose to install Windows 7 Enterprise (Corporate), then after installation you will be able to switch the interface language from English to English and back using standard Windows 7 Enterprise tools (Corporate). If you have installed Windows 7 Professional, you can use the Vistalizator utility for this purpose.
– Due to technical features, the installation of the 32-bit version of Windows 7 from this assembly cannot be launched from an existing system. You can install the 32-bit version of the OS only from a bootable DVD or USB. Also, the installation of the 64-bit version of Windows 7 from this assembly can be launched from under an existing system only in Custom installation mode. Not an Update.

Learn more about installing updates on Windows 7
The BypassESU utility was specially designed to bypass restrictions on installing ESU updates (those that were distributed through a paid subscription until January 2023). And she successfully coped with this task. Now, having supplemented BypassESU with the Win7 WU ESU Patcher utility, we can use updates for Windows Embedded 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, the subscription for which was supposed to end in October 2023 and January 2024, respectively, but at the time of release of the assembly, in fact, has not completed. These updates are fully compatible with regular Windows 7!

The BypassESU utility consists of three independent modules:
– The ESU Suppressor module is responsible for the ability to install ESU updates that you downloaded from Microsoft Update Catalog.
– The WU ESU Patcher module allows you to download and install ESU updates via Windows Update.
– The .NET 4 ESU Bypass module is designed for downloading and installing (including through Windows Update) ESU updates for .NET Frameworks 4.x.

You will not be able to somehow influence the operation of ESU Suppressor in this assembly. As long as the system has updates from a paid subscription installed, it will not be possible to disable it. The WU ESU Patcher module is outdated for our purposes, and in the BypassESU interface I replaced its call with the mode switch of the Win7 WU ESU Patcher module. Here you can choose what our system will mimic to install ESU updates through Windows Update: under Windows Embedded 7, under Windows Server 2008 R2; or select the combined Windows Server 2008 R2 + Windows 7 mode. The latter may be required to update other Microsoft products installed on the system through Windows Update. Well, the .NET 4 ESU Bypass module combines the work of the first two, but only exclusively for .NET Frameworks 4.x updates.

In this build, the default settings for the BypassESU utility are, in my opinion, optimal. ESU Suppressor and .NET 4 ESU Bypass are included. Win7 WU ESU Patcher for 64-bit systems is enabled in Windows Server 2008 R2 category mode, and for 32-bit systems – in Windows 7 Embedded category mode. But all of this, except for ESU Suppressor (which I wrote about above), you can reconfigure to suit your preferences.

PS At the time the build was released, the Windows 7 Embedded category mode no longer provided the ability to download new updates through Windows Update. Perhaps this is a temporary phenomenon, or perhaps for 32-bit versions of Windows 7, installation of updates is now only available through preliminary downloading from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
