WinCatalog is an easy-to-use cataloging program designed to catalog drives, files and folders. Have you ever had to look through the contents of dozens of CDs in search of the desired program or song? With WinCatalog you will never have to waste time searching again. It is enough to add your disks to WinCatalog once and the search will take you a matter of seconds, without even requiring the presence of a disk!
WinCatalog stores a list of files from all your media, scans the contents of Zip archives, extracts tags from mp3 files and even gets the names of audio tracks from the Internet. How often have you given CDs to your friends and never received them back? You will never lose your disks again: the contact list built into WinCatalog makes it easy to track who currently has this or that media.

Program features:

Thumbnail display improvements: Thumbnails now fill the preview area, making them more visually appealing and informative.

Search by hashes and checksums: Advanced search capabilities include hashes and checksums (MD5, SHA256, Blake2, CRC32), making it easier to find files by their unique identifiers. Leave the search field blank or enter an asterisk (means search all files and folders), check the “Hashes” line in the “Basic” tab of the advanced search options, insert the HASH value and click “Search”. WinCatalog will find all files matching the criteria. Please note that hash calculation must be enabled. This option can be found in the “Checksums and Hashes” section of the “General Scanning” tab individually for each scan profile. After changing the processing options, also read the following section of the user guide: Skip unmodified files during disk update.

Search Tab Options: The behavior of the New Search Tab command has changed with respect to the Search filter. The Search In filter defaults to the entire directory search scope, with the ability to narrow the search scope to a selected folder with just one click. The “New Search Here” context menu option now strictly limits the search scope to the selected folder.

Context Menu Improvements: We added a “New Search Here” menu item for empty spaces in the interface and corrected the behavior of the “New Search Here” command as it was not working as expected, and limited the search scope to the parent folder instead of the selected one.

Open in Catalog command: Now works the same in search results and in the main UI. Previously, the Open in Directory command from search results would open the parent folder instead of the intended folder.

Search History and Folder Selection: Increased the number of entries in the Search History combination, which is set to 20, but can now be configured through the registry. Additionally, the software has been updated so that it does not move to the selected folder after the update process is completed, making the update process easier.

Editable Volume Information tab. Some fields on the Volume Information tab are now editable, providing greater flexibility in managing volume information directly in the interface.

Search Field Focus: Fixed an issue that caused the search field to lose focus when switching between WinCatalog and other applications using ALT+TAB.

Interface settings for high resolution. We fixed an issue where the Backstage catalog page and program options would not fit properly on screen at large zoom factors, improving visibility and usability on high-resolution displays.

Version 2024.6.1 fixed an issue with square thumbnails stretching.

Treatment procedure:
Install the program.
Disable the antivirus, run the patcher as administrator and apply the patch. Wait until the work is completed and close. Then you can remove the patcher and turn on the antivirus.
